Harmony Design Group is a process-oriented firm, and we believe that the most successful projects are the ones where the process is clear, the communication is open, and the creativity is abundant. Here’s an overview of what will happen when we work together.
In our initial meeting, we’ll meet at your site and walk it together. We’ll discuss your vision for your project and listen carefully to your ideas and dreams. We’ll look over Harmony’s extensive portfolio of award-winning designs together and talk specifically about creative ideas we already have for your project. After our meeting, we’ll send you a proposal outlining our ideas and the costs for the work.
Once you accept the proposal, we’ll come out to your site to analyze site conditions, take pictures, spot elevations, and measure existing features. After we research local zoning ordinances, we’ll start our design development process. All projects start with owner Marc Nissim sketching several design concepts taking into account proportions, alignment, spatial organization, form, and shared vision. Once we’ve picked the best direction, we’ll develop it into a full design presentation. Then we’re ready to present our schematic design (and preliminary installation budget) to bring the project to life. You’ll not only see a hand-rendered concept design, but a comprehensive and state-of-the-art 3D rendering that will give you a “real time” experience of how the design will look and feel. Once you give us feedback on this schematic, we’ll create a final design plan that also details: • Material selections • Grading & drainage • Plant specifications • Landscape lighting
With finalized plans in hand, we’re almost ready to get to work. But first we need to handpick the right crew for your job from our network of trusted contractors. We’ll send out the plans and any other written specs, and receiving all of the bids, we’ll pick the right team and the best possible products for the project. We’ll set up a meeting to go over the final complete bid with you and review the project timeline. Once everything has been signed off on, we’ll submit the plans to local authorities to get the proper permits.
4. Installation & Quality Control
Because we oversee the installation process, you won’t have to deal with managing a bunch of subcontractors. We’ll manage the crews and handle all scheduling. We’ll also be onsite to supervise layout of hardscape elements, placement of plant material, and inspect other construction elements. Once the last piece of sod has been rolled out, we’ll do a final walk-through with you to make sure everything is exactly as you dreamed it would be.
